Director of Import Craft Sales

Austin Sawyer was appointed Hand Family Companies Sales Director of Craft and Import Brands in December 2013. As the Sales Director of Craft and Import Brands, Austin Sawyer oversees the craft and import brand managers for all of the Hand Family Companies, as well as new craft brewery acquisitions, sales incentives, and marketing plans. Austin has been working at the Hand Family Companies since 2007; previously he was at Budweiser of Memphis, where he was a craft brand manager.

Austin’s vision for the craft and import side of the Hand Family Companies, put simply, is to grow as much as possible. By following market trends, aligning with the best suppliers and strongest partners, and hiring the right people, Austin feels that the Hand Family Companies will be in the best position to succeed heading into the future. Staying ahead of the curve is especially important to Austin given all the growth and diversification that has happened within the market in recent years.

Austin believes that you need to put people in a position to succeed, and he helps ensure this by traveling to various locations of the Hand Family Companies often to help direct craft brand managers down the path of success. A lifelong Cubs fan, when Austin is not working he enjoys spending time with his family and golfing.
