Magic Hat Brewing Company

Magic Hat Brewing Company was founded in Burlington, Vermont in 1994. Within its first three years, the brewery found so much success that it had to relocate to a larger facility in South Burlington. Magic Hat brews four year-round beers, including an IPA, Porter, Golden Ale and their signature apricot-flavored #9, as well as four seasonal beers and several limited release beers.  In its very first year of brewing, Magic Hat had an inventive idea; what would happen if you tried to throw a Mardi Gras celebration in Burlington to benefit the Vermont Foodbank? Many thought it would be impossible to get people to come out and watch a parade of floats in the middle of February in cold Vermont, but from its very first year it has been a hit and today draws over 25,000 people annually to Burlington. Magic Hat has grown from a local Vermont favorite to one of the largest breweries in the state, and in 2013 has a production output of over 150,000 barrels a year.
