Uinta Brewing Company was founded in 1993 in Salt Lake City, Utah. Originally operating out of a renovated mechanic’s garage, Uinta began brewing beers that captured the imaginations of the people of Utah. By 2001, Uinta had outgrown their original space and moved to a 26,000 square foot brewing facility. By utilizing both wind-power and solar panels, their new facility allowed them to be as environmentally conscious as they had always wanted to be. Far from being content with just making beer in a conscientious manner, Uinta diversified their portfolio by adding the Crooked Line in 2010. Crooked Line beers are sold in 750ml bottles and are cork finished. Ranging from 9-14% ABV, these beers are meant to be shared with friends like one would a bottle of wine. Uinta Brewing Company has also received many accolades for their endeavors. Their flagship beer, Cutthroat Pale Ale, took home the Gold Medal at the Great American Beer Festival in 2000 (Ordinary Bitter Category), and also took home the Gold Medal at the North American Beer Awards (Special Best Bitter Category) in 2014, showing that when Uinta brews an award-winning beer it stays that way, year after year. As their popularity has grown and their portfolio has expanded, Uinta has never forgotten their guiding light; quality. It’s led them this far, and they look to it to lead them even further.
