Beer Club 04 The Iconic Duvel Glass
November 18 | 6:00 - 8:00 pm
400 N. Elizabeth St.
The fourth installment of Beer Club will focus on the world-renowned brewery, Duvel, its beer, Duvel and Duvel Tripel Hop, and its iconic glassware.
This Month's Topic: The Iconic Duvel Glass
Duvel (pronounced doo-vel) has been brewing since 1871. The brewery thought their unique beer deserved a unique glass, and in the late 1960s the iconic Duvel glass was born; making it the first tulip-shaped beer glass ever created. The glass was designed to enhance the exceptional taste and aroma and offer a complete experience for the beer drinker. The glass narrows at the top to help retain carbonation, preserving the head, which is what you want in a beer from Duvel. And the pouring ritual for Duvel beers is something to be perfected over time.
Tom Blackburn from Duvel will host the evening and talk Duvel history, give background on the beers Duvel and Duvel Tripel Hop, and why the iconic glass is crucial to truly enjoying the beer.

Think of it as a small get together of friends of Lakeshore Beverage.
