On Saturday, May 2, 2015 the Hand Family Companies and Budweiser of Clarksville participated in the Great American Clean Up, the country’s largest community improvement program. We had 11 participants and we collected 12 bags of trash from the downtown Clarksville area. We are proud to be a part of the Hand Family Team.
Kim Leshinski, founder of Hail To The Ale is a graphic designer, beer judge, homebrewer, event planner, and beer blogger… and somehow, we’ve convinced her to spend some time with us each month to develop a blog series about an often overlooked part of the craft beer experience: glassware. Over the next few month’s she’ll dive into the history, design and style of glassware and teach us all something new about our beer glasses.
There are meals and then there are MEALS. Last night I sat down for a five course beer dinner prepared by Chef Stephanie Izard and her fantastic team. Each course was paired with a Founders beer, including the extremely rare CBS and an exclusive taste of the upcoming Blushing Monk.
We’re pleased to announce that Motor Row Brewing Company, the brand new South Loop brewery, has joined the Lakeshore Beverage family and will begin distribution across Chicago this month. Who is Motor Row? Well, they’re kind of small. I mean, there’s only three people there… but don’t let their size fool you, they are mighty and make mighty good beer.
We had a blast at the Speakeasy Ales & Lagers launch party at the Chrome Industries Chicago HUB in Wicker Park! Apparently, so did you guys because it was packed-to-the-gills with Chicago beer fans. All photos by Roxy De La Torre Photography.
