It wouldn’t be Chicago Craft Beer Week without an enormous dodgeball tournament, right? Right. Goose Island’s annual Battle of the Breweries Dodgeball Tournament is set for Sunday, May 21 and you can enter to win a pair of tickets right here.
Last year’s Goose Island Sunday Funday was one of our favorite events of Chicago Craft Beer Week. This year’s third annual installment promises to be even better.
We celebrate craft beer in Chicago every day but that doesn’t prevent us from getting excited when Chicago Craft Beer Week rolls around. This year we sent Matt Tanaka, our blogger and beer traveller out into the city to liveblog his way through all 11 days of #CCBW. He drank fantastic beer, ate tasty food and spent time with people from every corner of the Chicago craft beer scene — and brought his camera with him as he did so.

Day 11 of Chicago Craft Beer Week was the final day of Chicago Craft Beer Week and I can’t imagine a more fitting end. We enjoyed an outdoor BBQ with Founders Brewing Co and, even though it rained almost the whole time, we had a ton of fun. Maybe it was the giant smoked beef ribs, or the Founders Mosaic Promise… or maybe it was just because we’d all made it through the marathon that is CCBW — but everyone was in good spirits. Read More
Chicago is not known for being kind to its residents weather-wise. Day 10 of Chicago Craft Beer Week, however, was one of those days that makes us forget the midwest’s moody temper(ature)ment (couldn’t help myself…is anyone reading this?) as we spend the day in the sunshine. Day 8 of Chicago Craft Beer Week marked the first in a series of events Lakeshore Beverage is co-hosting with The Hop Review called Arts & Crafts: A Celebration of Art and Craft Beer. The inaugural event featured the work of Chicago artist Nate Azark of 12 Line Studio, including a screenprinting demonstration and a custom piece designed especially for the event. Read More
