An easy NFL kickoff backyard party can be simple as Bud Light, snacks, and games.

The NFL season is here!  NFL football usually conjures up cold Sundays indoors huddled around the TV, serving up gameday chili or burgers. Well, as much as that’s true, a good portion of the NFL season is still played when it’s warm outside (for us Midwest folks). Why not take advantage of the remainder of the warm sunny days, and hold a backyard football party in celebration of NFL Kickoff, Thursday September 5th. Kind of intimidated by throwing a party? Don’t worry – it’s easy to hold a football kickoff get-together, leave it to your friends at Bud Light to make it easy to watch football with friends on Sunday! Want to learn some inspiration and how to win an outdoor screen and projector for your own backyard NFL kickoff party? Keep reading below!

Screen

So, the first and most important part of any football party is the football! You need a screen – so the easiest and best option is to use an outdoor screen projector and screen. They’re simple to set up and the big screen makes it much more engaging than watching on a smaller, indoor screen. Don’t have your own projector + screen combo? We’re giving some projectors and screens away so you can make your own. Click here to go to our Instagram page and follow the instructions to win your own outdoor screen and projector!

Drinks

So what about drinks? Of course, Bud Light is here in your time of beer-related need! Bud Light’s light, crisp, and refreshing taste makes it an easy choice to quarterback any  type of football themed parties you want to host. Also pick up a case of Bud Light’s perky cousin – Bud Light Seltzer! Not only can you enjoy their fresh and fruity seltzer flavors by themselves, but you can also make some easy cocktails  featuring Bud Light Seltzer with just a few ingredients. For example, make an easy seltzer sangria but combine a pineapple can of Bud Light Seltzer, some red wine, a bit of simple syrup and lime garnish! Easy peasy, and it looks like you put some effort in.

Food

Can’t have drinks about food! Focus on pre-mixed snacks like Munchies or Chex Mix, so you can maximize your variety without a lot of work! Also, make friends with the frozen section at your local grocery store. Frozen appetizers! Bagel dogs, chicken, and cauliflower bites are perfect treats to serve at your outdoor football party. They’re small, not messy, and can be enjoyed with one hand (while the other one holds a Bud Light).

Activities

Here’s an idea for a halftime game, if your backyard has the space for it – hang up some targets around the space (try using photos of your friends, they can be wide receivers!). Use a football and play a QB game – each target represents a certain amount of points and rewards can be whatever you want, or it can be just bragging rights!
