Walking into the grain room at 3 Sheeps Brewing Co. is, like with most things at Grant Pauly’s Wisconsin brewery, slightly out of the ordinary.
“We’re on the third floor, which is unusual for a grain room because of the weight but this building is an old sock factory and they used to keep the equipment up here,” Grant explains, “The floor boards are about 10 inches thick.”
The Manhattan, Kansas-based brewery Tallgrass Brewing Co launched in Chicago in 2013 and they haven’t slowed down since. On Saturday, August 29, myself and 39 others celebrated Old Style in a big way. Old Style wrapped up their summer Neighborhood Patch Program with Untappd by taking fans on an 8-neighborhood bar crawl throughout Chicago. It was the last chance to collect these badges and the only chance to do it in person! I mentally prepared myself to go on this 8-neighborhood bar crawl and lived to tell the tale.
