Last weekend I went to the 2nd annual Mac & Cheese Fest at UIC Forum with Labatt Blue & things got cheesy.
To start, I grabbed a Labatt Blue and the most ingenious plate I’ve ever seen. This marvel of culinary technology was sectioned off in three places for food, with a center beer cup rest, and a thumb hole. What a time to be alive!
On an unseasonably warm evening in October, Chicago dog lovers gathered at Bucktown Pub to celebrate their love for pups and pints with Rogue Ales.
There was a costume contest (obviously) with prizes from Krisers Natural Pet in Bucktown, a ton of delicious Rogue Ale’s Dead Guy and the opportunity for the pets to join the brewery’s official fan club, Rogue Nation. The dogs raised their right paws, performed the official ceremony, walked the official red carpet, and received their official membership cards.
Check out the photos below of ceremony and then scroll to the end to catch the official Pup Portraits!

We certainly did. Read More
The Manhattan, Kansas-based brewery Tallgrass Brewing Co launched in Chicago in 2013 and they haven’t slowed down since. We hosted the party at Emporium Wicker Park and things got… weird. Read More
On Saturday, August 29, myself and 39 others celebrated Old Style in a big way. Old Style wrapped up their summer Neighborhood Patch Program with Untappd by taking fans on an 8-neighborhood bar crawl throughout Chicago. It was the last chance to collect these badges and the only chance to do it in person! I mentally prepared myself to go on this 8-neighborhood bar crawl and lived to tell the tale. And it was a hell of a ride…
Belgian brewery Duvel-Moortgat and its Cooperstown New York partner, Brewery Ommegang paired up for a private beer dinner at City Winery. Both breweries produce complex Belgian and Belgian-style beers brewed with unique yeast strains which Executive Sous Chef, Dan Olson, complemented and contrasted with his delicious five course meal.
