3 Easy Beer Cocktails For Your Repertoire ›

Beer Cocktails

What goes well with boozy cocktails? Well, sometimes, more booze. Beer cocktails are becoming more prevalent than ever and can be pretty damn tasty when done right.

So we rolled up our sleeves, spent some time searching through the internet, and put together these four beer cocktails for you to try. They’re simple, delicious, and maybe you’ll impress someone at your next party.

You certainly won’t look as cool as Tom Cruise, but your friend “who doesn’t drink beer” will really appreciate you trying to include them for once. A big thank you to our New Accounts Manager, Whitney, for whipping these up for us. Read More

Nerding Out On Milk Stouts ›

January 11th is National Milk Day and if you ask us, that calls for celebration. And how else to celebrate than with a milk stout or four? Milk stouts are made with lactose, a disaccharide sugar that is not fermented by yeast during brewing. This process is what’s used to sweeten the beer; resulting in that sweet sweet milk stout goodness we love so dearly. Watch as our fearless trainer and educator, Chris Kolodziej, explains milk stouts further. Read More

Can You Dig It? An Exploration of Craft Beer in Cans ›

These days, enjoying craft beer in a can is pretty common. And let’s be honest, there are plenty of benefits: The beer is protected from light to avoid becoming light-struck or “skunked” as it’s often referred to. A can is a bit easier to pack and take with you on-the-go, be it on a hike or picnic. Cans also have a larger surface area for artwork and branding so a brewery can have more liberties with the design.

An Interview With Jeff Gill of Tallgrass Brewing ›
On January 17, 2016  ·  in Tallgrass Brewing

A decade ago, Jeff Gill’s wife asked him over dinner what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. He thought for a minute and for the first time voiced a dream he’d been nursing for years: “I want to start a brewery.” The very next day he started writing the plans for what would eventually become Tallgrass Brewing Company.

Now, 10 years later, the brewery is undergoing huge growth. They’re distributed in 14 states including Kansas, where they’ve just finished building a massive new brewery and are a year into managing a new brewpub. Things are going well for Jeff and his team and we sat down with him to talk about his home brewing roots, the Tallgrass CANifesto, and the brewery’s new series of experimental releases called the Explorer Series.
